Professor Jeremy Bailenson is founding director of Stanford University’s Virtual Human Interaction Lab, an Associate Professor in the Department of Communication at Stanford, a Senior Fellow at the Woods Institute for the Environment, Faculty Director of Stanford’s Digital Learning Forum, and a Faculty Leader at Stanford’s Center for Longevity.
Professor Homero Rivas
Homero Rivas, MD, MBA, FACS, is an Assistant Professor of Surgery, and the Director of Innovative Surgery at Stanford University. He has been involved in mHealth for nearly seven years. Co-Founder of Apps4Patients and DocToc, and advisor to many mHealth startups. He is a Glass Explorer (Google), and has several research projects using Glass and software to improve safety in the operating room and also to train surgeons with augmented reality. Additionally he has several research projects with other wearable devices in healthcare and in daily life activities. He is advocate of Hispanics in the USA and he champions mHealth and telemedicine among them. He directs a massive-open-online-course on mHealth with over 15,000 registered students throughout the world. He is a founding member of the Wearable Technology in Healthcare Society (WATCH).
